Our big date nights are ASU games!
Caroline is 9, and is brave and adventurous.
Genevieve is 7 now, but we’ve always loved tickle fights.
Joshua is 3, and he has a contagious laugh.
What's the craziest thing you've ever done?
I picked a place to live from a website that told me it was the perfect match for me. I moved there three weeks later. Then I moved back to Arizona a year later because Seattle was too overcast for me; and there’s no place like home.
What is your favorite family tradition?
My husband’s dad and stepmom have a beach house in Lincoln City, Oregon. It’s on a stretch of private, residential waterfront. There are no noises but my kids and the waves; I can whale watch from the living room; and take a walk on the beach by myself because I have built-in, eager nannies. It’s one of the only times I can truly rest. And it’s 40 to 50 degrees cooler than Phoenix in July.
What's the last book you read?
Reading is my favorite hobby and I like to alternate between fiction and non-fiction. The last book I just finished was Pardonable Lies by Jacqueline Winspear. Historical fiction is my favorite fiction. Right now I’m reading Present over Perfect by Shauna Niequist.
What are some of your pet peeves?
People lining their windows up next to mine at red lights. Walking into a room scattered with toys that I JUST CLEANED. “Your iCloud storage is almost full.”
